Ishmael beah is being said to be lying about his book. There was a man named Lloyd that had read Ishmaels book A Long Way Gone. He had read the part were supposedly Ishmael's parents died by the rebels in a village. This man named Lloyd has found Ishmael's father or so he thinks. When he messages Ishmael's editor the editor seems to ignore the messages then finally tells Lloyd to leave them alone and that they did not wish to here it. He was also asked to keep it quite.

Lloyd decided one day that he wanted the truth to be out so he contacted a television producer in Sydney named Anita Jacoby. Lloyd was hoping that Jocoby would pass the word along and she did.The Australian couldn't Wait to here of these things they were already trying to say he lied about fighting for two excruciating years. They were saying he could only have been in there for a couple months if at all.
